What You'll Have
Essential
• Significant experience working as a Medical Governance Manager or Clinical Governance Manager within a healthcare environment.
• Demonstrable experience managing medical governance frameworks and governance processes relating to medical practitioners.
• Experience working closely with consultants and senior clinicians, with the ability to build strong, credible and professional working relationships.
• Experience administering practising privileges and consultant governance processes.
• Strong understanding of the Medical Practitioners Assurance Framework (MPAF), GMC Good Medical Practice and CQC regulatory requirements.
• Experience supporting Responsible Officer functions and/or medical appraisal processes.
• Strong knowledge of clinical governance, risk management and quality assurance.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, with confidence engaging senior medical professionals.
• Experience analysing governance, quality and clinical performance data to support decision making.
• Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex healthcare environment.
• Professional, resilient and able to handle sensitive governance matters with discretion.
Desirable
• Degree or equivalent qualification in healthcare, governance or a related discipline.
• Experience working within independent healthcare.
• Experience supporting Medical Advisory Committees (MACs).
• This role requires travel to support business needs. The postholder must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle.
