Key Responsibilities
• Prepare, process, and manage all patient referrals through the NHS e-Referrals Service (e-RS) and other pathways.
• Provide accurate secretarial and administrative support to GPs and clinicians.
• Liaise with hospitals, consultants, and external healthcare providers to ensure timely and effective communication.
• Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with NHS standards and data protection.
• Add invoices and receipts to a Monday.com platform
• Prepare clinical reports, SARs and insurance reports
Experience and skills in the following areas are essential:
• S1 Experience
• Must have previous experience of Medical Secretary, including knowledge of choose and book, routine and urgent referrals and medical notes.
• High attention to detail
• Flexible
• The post holder must have good inter-personal and organisational skills, be able to manage and prioritise a heavy workload and be able to work under pressure, both on their own and as part of a team.
• Computer skills are essential
• Excellent telephone manner
• Good knowledge and understanding of confidentiality
• Use own initiative
