Tax Trainee Accountancy Practice | Glasgow City Centre | Full-Time | Permanent Are you looking to build a long-term career in tax with a respected accountancy practice? Whether you've recently graduated, have gained some experience within accountancy, or are looking to develop your career in tax, this could be the perfect opportunity. Our client, a well-established accountancy practice based in Glasgow City Centre, is looking to recruit a Tax Trainee to join their friendly and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a broad range of tax matters while working towards a recognised professional qualification with full study support. The Role Working alongside experienced tax professionals, you'll receive comprehensive training and exposure to a varied client portfolio. As your experience develops, you'll take on increasing responsibility while building a strong technical foundation in taxation. Typical responsibilities will include: • Assisting with the preparation of personal and business tax returns. • Supporting the completion of tax compliance work for a varied client base. • Liaising with HMRC regarding client queries and tax matters. • Assisting with tax planning projects and advisory work. • Preparing supporting documentation and maintaining accurate client records. • Building strong relationships with clients and colleagues across the practice. • Keeping up to date with UK tax legislation and regulatory changes. About You We're looking for someone who is eager to learn, motivated to develop professionally and enjoys working as part of a collaborative team. Ideally, you'll have: • A degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, Business or a related discipline, or previous experience within an accountancy practice. • A genuine interest in developing a career in tax. • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills. • Good communication skills with a professional approach. • The ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
