Nursery - Assistant Manager

Nursery Deputy Manager (Level 3 Qualified) Salary: £15 - £18 per hour (or Permanent Salary) Location: Godalming Job Type: Full-time Start Date: ASAP We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Deputy Manager to join our vibrant team. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong practitioner ready to take the next step in their career, supporting the Nursery Manager in leading a high-quality early years setting. Day-to-day of the role: • Support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the setting • Ensure a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for all children • Lead by example in delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences • Plan and implement engaging activities to support children’s development across all areas • Observe, assess, and track children’s progress, ensuring accurate records are maintained • Build strong relationships with parents, staff, and external professionals • Ensure compliance with EYFS, safeguarding, and health & safety regulations • Support with staff supervision, mentoring, and team development • Step in to lead the nursery in the absence of the Nursery Manager • Assist with daily routines including mealtimes, hygiene, and transitions Required Skills & Qualifications: • CACHE Level 3 (minimum) in Childcare and Education • Proven experience as a Senior Practitioner, Room Leader, or Deputy Manager • Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) • Understanding of Ofsted standards, safeguarding, and compliance • Excellent communication and leadership skills • Ability to support, motivate, and develop a team • Positive, proactive, and enthusiastic approach Benefits: • Competitive salary package • Opportunities for career progression into management • Ongoing professional development and training • Supportive and friendly working environment • Pension scheme To apply for this Nursery Deputy Manager position, please click the APPLY BUTTON above.
