Kloisters Kindergarten – Nursery Deputy Manager 12-month FTC £34,000 per annum 45 hours per week Join Kloisters Kindergarten, Rochester! We’re looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Deputy Manager to support the day-to-day running of the nursery, lead and inspire the team, and help ensure the highest standards of care, learning, and compliance. You’ll work closely with the Nursery Manager to create a positive environment for children, families, and staff. This is a full-time role, 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Why Join Us? Key Responsibilities: · Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent, and visitor at all times. · Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met throughout the nursery. · Assist in managing the acceptance and administration of medication and ensure care plans are thorough and up to date for children or staff with health conditions. · Ensure that all children receive stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources that are appropriate to their age and stage of development. · Promote respect and credibility for this position through effective communication skills, impartiality, and consistency. · Inspire staff team with creative ideas and new challenges with aim to achieve outstanding practice. · Undertake any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the nursery and safety and wellbeing of children, staff, and families. *Duties and responsibilities in this job description are not exhaustive or restrictive, changes and other duties relevant to this post may be added. Requirements: · Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification - Essential · Over 1 years’ experience of working in Early Years - Essential · Sound knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - Essential · Over 1 years’ experience of working in a management position - Desirable. · Level 5 qualification in Childcare and/or Management and Leadership - Desirable · Experience of successfully passing an Ofsted inspection to good or outstanding – Desirable .
