Job description

We are currently looking for an Occupational Therapist to join a ward based in Brentwood, Essex. Working Pattern: 22.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload of patients with stroke, undertaking comprehensive occupational therapy assessments, setting person-centred goals, delivering evidence-based interventions, monitoring and reviewing treatment plans, and supporting discharge planning. They will work closely within a multidisciplinary stroke rehabilitation team, alongside reablement and voluntary sector services, to provide both inpatient and post-discharge rehabilitation. The role requires a strong understanding of stroke rehabilitation, neuro-anatomy, cognitive and functional impairments following stroke, and current Royal College of Physicians and NICE clinical guidelines. The successful candidate must also maintain accurate clinical records, meet HCPC standards of proficiency, and contribute to the ongoing development of interdisciplinary working practices.
