Occupational Therapist

To work with service users to identify treatment goals as part of the overall care plan;using specialist mental health and occupational therapy assessment tools. To hold a caseload of service users with complex mental health needs, includingevaluating referrals for intervention and priorities for treatment. To plan and implement evidence based client centred individual and/or groupinterventions, using graded activity to achieve therapeutic goals. To monitor, evaluate and modify treatment in order to measure progress and ensureeffectiveness of intervention. To critically evaluate outcomes including assessment and management of risk. To apply clinical reasoning skills to effectively manage clinical caseloads. To use a broad range of standardised and non-standardised assessments appropriateto model of practice. To work alongside other professionals and external agencies to provide assessmentand ongoing treatment.
