Job description

We’re currently working with a well-established, family-run business based near Ripon, North Yorkshire, operating within the agricultural sector, that is looking to recruit an experienced and organised Administrator to join their small, friendly office team on a part-time basis. This is a varied role offering the opportunity to support the day-to-day running of the business, working closely with the Office Manager across a range of administrative duties. This position would suit someone who enjoys a diverse workload, has excellent organisational skills and is comfortable working within a farming or agricultural environment. Key responsibilities: • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring data is kept up to date • Supporting compliance administration and record keeping • Coordinating haulage and transport arrangements • Processing invoices and preparing reports • Providing administrative support across operational areas of the business • Handling telephone and email enquiries • Liaising with suppliers and external contacts We're looking for someone who: • Has previous administration experience • Is highly organised with excellent attention to detail • Is confident using Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word • Has strong written and verbal communication skills • Is comfortable working within a rural or agricultural environment • Has an understanding of livestock or agricultural administration (preferred but not essential) • Enjoys working as part of a small, close-knit team Due to the rural location, a full driving licence and access to your own transport are essential.
