This temporary assignment has the potential of becoming permanent for the right applicant School Office Manager • Annual Salary: To be discussed • Location: East London / Essex • Job Type: Full-time or Part-time (36 hours per week, term time plus 2 weeks - 41 weeks) Working hours • Reporting to: Schools Operations Manager We are seeking a dedicated School Office Manager to manage our school's operational and administrative functions effectively. This role involves supporting the Schools Operations Manager with the school's HR function and playing a pivotal role in the planning and development of support services. Day-to-day of the role: • Manage the school’s operational and administrative functions on a daily basis. • Support the Schools Operations Manager with the school’s HR functions. • Implement recruitment and performance management processes. • Guide staff and leaders on the application of HR policies and requirements. • Work closely with the school Headteacher and other school leaders to manage, monitor, report, and mitigate key operational issues. • Collaborate with the Trust’s Leaders for HR, governance, operations, business, premises, and finance, as well as external providers, to ensure the school is run effectively and efficiently. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Proven experience in operational and administrative management within an educational setting. • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and developing staff. • Excellent organizational and communication skills. • Ability to work closely with various stakeholders including senior management and external partners. • Knowledge of HR processes and legal compliance in an educational context. • Proficiency in IT systems relevant to school administration.
