Job description

An established, enterprise-scale organisation is expanding its PMO capability and is looking for an experienced Operations PMO Programme Manager to help shape and deliver complex, outcome-focused change. This is a high-profile role working with senior stakeholders to design, mobilise and run programmes that bring together multiple projects, workstreams and teams. The Role You'll take ownership of end-to-end programme delivery, turning strategy into actionable, well-governed programmes and ensuring day-to-day progress through strong leadership, governance and stakeholder engagement. Key responsibilities include: • Shaping and mobilising outcome-focused programmes from disparate initiatives • Full life cycle programme management (risks, issues, dependencies, budgets, reporting) • Defining and operating effective programme governance aligned to portfolio standards • Coordinating underlying projects and workstreams to ensure coherence and momentum • Acting as the voice of the business into the programme • Managing senior stakeholders, sponsors and governance forums • Enabling sponsors to focus on direction-setting while you drive delivery • Working closely with architecture, IT, risk and supplier teams • Supporting and growing programme capability, including onboarding additional resources What We're Looking For • Proven experience leading large-scale or complex programmes • Strong PMO/programme governance background within a professional services or enterprise environment • Excellent senior stakeholder engagement and influencing skills • Solid experience across Waterfall and Agile delivery approaches • Expert programme planning skills (dependencies, capacity, sequencing) • Pragmatic, detail-oriented, but always focused on outcomes • Proactive, confident self-starter who gets things done Why Apply? • High-impact programmes with strong executive visibility • A chance to influence how change is delivered and governed • Collaborative, mature PMO environment with room to shape and improve standards • Hyrbid working model with 3 days in central London office
