Packing OperativeLocation: West Hull Village Job Type: Full-time, permanent Hours: 37.5 hours per week Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm Pay Rate: £13.61 per hour Overtime: Paid at £17.70 per hour About the CompanyWe are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, family-run production facility located in a West Hull village. This business has built a strong reputation for quality, reliability, and attention to detail over many years. Due to the rural location of the site, applicants must have their own transport as public transport links are limited. The RoleAs a Packing Operative, you will play a key role in ensuring products are prepared, packed, and dispatched to a consistently high standard. This is a hands-on position within a fast-paced production environment, requiring a high level of accuracy, efficiency, and organisation. You will be responsible for meeting daily targets while maintaining product quality and adhering to company procedures and health and safety standards. Key Responsibilities • Accurately packing finished products in line with customer orders and company specifications • Ensuring all products are packaged securely and presented to a high standard • Completing relevant documentation, including order forms, batch records, and customer details with precision • Labelling products correctly and ensuring traceability requirements are met • Conducting basic quality checks to ensure products meet required standards before dispatch • Assisting with the preparation of materials and packaging supplies for production runs • Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe working environment in line with health and safety guidelines • Supporting colleagues and working collaboratively as part of a team to meet production deadlines • Carrying out general warehouse and production duties as required, including handling goods and stock rotation • Reporting any issues, damages, or discrepancies promptly to supervisors About YouTo be successful in this role, you will demonstrate a strong work ethic and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. You should be comfortable working in a structured production environment and able to follow processes accurately. We are looking for someone who: • Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in producing accurate work • Is reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining consistent attendance • Works well both independently and as part of a team • Is comfortable completing paperwork and working with basic data accurately • Can manage their time effectively and meet productivity targets • Is physically capable of carrying out manual duties associated with packing and production • Has a positive attitude and a willingness to learn new tasks Previous experience in a packing, production, or warehouse environment would be beneficial, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
