Panel Beater

We are currently seeking an experienced Panel Beater to join our client's team in Wigan. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional looking to advance their career within a reputable accident repair specialist. The successful individual will be responsible for delivering high-quality panel repairs and replacements, ensuring customer satisfaction while adhering to industry standards. Benefits: • Up to £55,000 basic salary per annum, plus bonus • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays • Access to comprehensive training programmes, both internal and external • Pension scheme and death in service insurance • Enhanced maternity and paternity pay • Provided work uniform Duties of a Panel Beater: • Perform panel repairs and replacements with precision and attention to detail • Detect and diagnose additional faults for further repairs as a Panel Beater • Follow repair procedures in accordance with Thatcham, manufacturer, and insurance guidelines • Conduct test welds and document results throughout the repair process • Prepare damaged areas using body filler and sanding to a high standard • Manage parts inventory, including storing reusable parts securely • Ensure vehicle protection is maintained throughout the repair process • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety compliance • Report any damages or parts needing repair to the relevant departments promptly • Follow health and safety regulations, including COSHH requirements • Complete repairs adhering to BS 10125 standards Requirements of a Panel Beater: • Proven experience as a Panel Beater within a bodyshop environment • Ideally qualified to IMI or ATA standards • Strong attention to quality and detail • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment • Excellent team player with a positive attitude • Full UK driving licence is preferred If you are looking to take the next step in your automotive repair career with a forward-thinking company dedicated to quality and customer service, we encourage you to find out more about this Panel Technician position.
