Paralegal – General Litigation Location: York Salary: Competitive + Excellent Benefits SJC Partners are recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Paralegal to join a well-established and supportive General Litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Paralegal looking to develop their career within litigation. While previous litigation experience would be advantageous, we are also keen to hear from Paralegals currently working in other areas of law who are looking to transition into litigation and broaden their experience. The Role Working alongside experienced fee earners, you will support a broad range of general litigation matters, gaining exposure to varied and interesting cases while developing your legal knowledge and practical experience. Key responsibilities include: • Assisting solicitors with a varied caseload of general litigation matters. • Drafting legal documents and correspondence. • Managing client communications and delivering a high standard of client care. • Preparing court bundles and legal documentation. • Conducting legal research. • Maintaining accurate case files and ensuring compliance with internal procedures. • Providing general administrative support to the litigation team. About You We are looking for someone who: • Has previous experience working as a Paralegal (litigation experience is advantageous but not essential). • Is keen to build a career within litigation. • Has excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Demonstrates strong organisational skills and attention to detail. • Can effectively manage a busy workload and prioritise tasks. • Is proactive, enthusiastic and enjoys working as part of a collaborative team.
