Cygnet Group are looking for an outstanding PartTime Cook whos passionate about great food and wants to make a real difference to the people we support at Cygnet Elms. In this role, youll work 16 hours per week, working Saturdays and Sundays (7:30am3:30pm), preparing nutritious meals and playing a key part in creating a positive, homely environment for everyone in our care. This is approximately a 12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves cooking, enjoys meaningful work, and is looking for a role that fits perfectly around daytime commitments. Cygnet Elms is a high dependency complex care service for 10 women with learning disabilities, associated complex needs who may have behaviours that challenge. We support individuals who are stepping down from a more secure setting as part of their care pathway. We work with them and provide personalised care to help them develop the necessary skills to leave our rehabilitation service and move towards a less restrictive setting in the community. Your day-to-day... • Prepare, cook & serve nutritional, balanced and appetising meals • Provide special diets, taking into account individual preferences & needs • Liaise with nursing c olleagues to meet patients nutritional & dietary needs • Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen, service areas & dining room • Ensure compliance with health & safety standards and Food Hygiene Regulations • Handle, maintain & store kitchen equipment in accordance with Cygnet procedures • Use chemicals in line with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations Why Cygnet?
