Payroll Advisor Location: Aberdeen or Glasgow (Hybrid – 3 days office, 2 days home) Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Payroll Advisor to join a growing payroll bureau team. This role is ideal for someone with strong bureau payroll experience who enjoys managing complex client payrolls, supporting junior team members, and building strong client relationships. Key Responsibilities: • Process end-to-end payrolls for a portfolio of complex bureau clients • Lead the implementation of new client payrolls from start to finish • Review payrolls, BACS payments, and ensure all deadlines are met accurately • Act as the main point of contact for payroll queries, providing expert advice to clients and colleagues • Monitor team workflow, delegate work, and support the development of junior payroll staff • Keep up to date with payroll legislation and implement process improvements where required • Maintain payroll process documentation and support payroll software testing and upgrades • Build strong client relationships and identify opportunities to improve service delivery Ideal Candidate: • Previous payroll bureau experience • Experience managing payrolls for clients with 100+ employees • Strong end-to-end payroll processing knowledge • Up-to-date understanding of UK payroll legislation, pensions, and statutory payments • Confident reviewing payrolls, solving complex queries, and supporting junior team members • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple client deadlines • Excellent communication and client relationship management skills • Proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement and delivering excellent client service Interested?
