Job Title: Performing Arts Lecturer Salary: Competitive hourly rate (dependent on experience and qualifications) Start Date: Ongoing opportunities available About the Role We are currently recruiting for experienced and enthusiastic Performing Arts Lecturers to join a range of well-established Further Education providers. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real impact on learners pursuing careers within the performing arts and creative industries. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and effective lessons, supporting students in developing their practical performance skills, creativity, confidence, and industry knowledge while helping them achieve their academic and professional goals. Key Responsibilities • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Performing Arts lessons. • Teach Performing Arts programmes to learners across a range of levels and abilities. • Assess, monitor, and track student progress. • Provide constructive feedback and academic support to learners. • Maintain accurate records in line with college requirements. • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment. • Support learners in developing practical performance, rehearsal, and production skills. • Contribute to learner achievement, retention, and progression. Requirements • Relevant degree or qualification in Performing Arts, Theatre, Drama, Acting, Musical Theatre, Dance, or a related subject. • Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training, or equivalent). • Experience teaching Performing Arts within Further Education, Higher Education, Secondary Education, or Adult Learning environments. • Strong classroom management and communication skills. • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one. • Ability to engage and motivate learners of varying abilities. • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for performing arts education. • Industry experience within theatre, acting, dance, musical theatre, production, or a related creative field is desirable.
