Power Tool OperativeLocation: Wigan Hours: Rotating shifts 6:00am-2:00pm / 2:00pm-10:00pm Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday (weekend work available) Contract: Temporary to Permanent Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and develop your skills within a growing company? We are currently recruiting for a Power Tool Operative to join our client's team in Wigan on a temporary to permanent basis. This is a hands-on role involving the repair, refurbishment and maintenance of products using a range of power and hand tools. Previous experience using power tools is beneficial but not essential. We're looking for candidates who are practical, eager to learn and have a good understanding of tools and how they are used. Responsibilities • Carry out repairs, refurbishment and maintenance of products using a variety of hand and power tools. • Diagnose basic faults and identify parts that require repair or replacement. • Follow work instructions and quality standards to ensure products are repaired correctly. • Inspect products before and after repair to ensure they meet company standards. • Maintain accurate records of completed work. • Work efficiently to meet productivity and quality targets. • Keep work areas clean, organised and safe at all times. • Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies. Requirements • A good understanding of hand and power tools. • Previous experience in a hands-on, assembly, production, manufacturing, workshop or maintenance environment would be advantageous. • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately. • Good problem-solving skills and a practical approach to tasks. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Good communication skills. • Flexibility to work rotating shifts of 6:00am-2:00pm and 2:00pm-10:00pm. • Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
