PPA Teacher / Aspiring Teacher – Specialist SEND Secondary School Location: Brixton (Near Loughborough Junction Station) Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 7:00am–2:30pm Start Date: ASAP Complete Classroom Services are currently recruiting for a PPA Teacher / Aspiring Teacher to join a specialist SEND secondary school in Brixton. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher with a SEND background or an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking to take the next step towards a teaching career. You will work closely with the Deputy Headteacher, supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the school while gaining valuable leadership and classroom experience. About the Role: • Providing classroom cover using pre-planned lessons, primarily during the mornings • Supervising and coordinating daily staff cover across the school • Managing a team of midday supervisors • Supporting the delivery of physiotherapy programmes (full moving and handling training provided) • Leading lunchtime activities and enrichment sessions • Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils to promote engagement and confidence • Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team to support school trips, events and daily operations • Supporting pupils with personal care where required We're Looking For Someone Who: • Has experience teaching or supporting children with Special Educational Needs • Is an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking to progress into teaching, or an experienced SEND teacher • Is comfortable providing personal care when required • Has excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills • Is proactive, flexible and confident working within a specialist setting • Holds an enhanced Child and Adult DBS on the Update Service • Is passionate about supporting young people with additional needs What’s On Offer: • A rewarding opportunity within a supportive SEND secondary school • Valuable experience working alongside the Deputy Headteacher • Ongoing training and professional development • Excellent opportunity for aspiring teachers to develop their classroom experience • Immediate start available If you're passionate about SEND education and looking to take the next step in your career, we'd love to hear from you.
