Practice Nurse (30 - 37.5 hours per week)

To provide general and specific health screening to the practice population, in line with agreed protocols and reference to the General Practitioner, where necessary. Advise patients regarding general health care and minor ailments, in person and on the telephone Devise and implement a programme of nursing care based on individual patient need, in conjunction with the patient. Be responsible for managing clinics and carrying out associated tasks including the following: Cytology, travel vaccinations, ECGs, Spirometry, peak flow readings, venepuncture, management of long term conditions, ear syringing, childhood immunisations, chaperoning patients who are being examined by another clinician, urine testing, dietary advice, anaphylaxis and CPR.
