Parkfield Medical Centre are seeking a Practice Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, working closely with doctors and other healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of anatomy and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care in a clinical setting. This developmental position may suit a new to primary care nursing graduate The position is part time Monday -Friday, 25 hours per week. Duties include: • Conducting patient health assessments and record medical histories • Phlebotomy • Ear syringing • ECGs • Cervical smears • Urine analysis • Vaccinations and Immunisations • Medication administration including injections • Assist in minor surgical procedures • Travel health • Dressings /wound care/ Doppler /suture and clip removal • Blood pressure monitoring • Assist with Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) • Monitor patients vital signs and report any changes to the medical team • Educate patients on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment plans • Performing part 1 diabetic reviews including blood tests and foot checks • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulations • Contraception care including depo injections • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans • Participate in health promotion activities within the community About the Candidate Applicants should have the following qualifications, registration, skills and experience • Registered Nurse current NMC registration and active PIN • Experience working in primary care or recent completion of a Primary Care (practice nursing) diploma. • Excellent patient care skills, demonstrating empathy and understanding • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail • Proficiency in using electronic health record systems • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment If you are passionate about making a difference in patients' lives and possess the necessary skills, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding opportunity as a Practice Nurse.
