An established and growing law firm is seeking an experienced Private Client Legal Assistant / Paralegal to join its busy Private Client department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further develop their career within a supportive team handling a broad range of private client matters.
The Role
You will provide support to fee earners and assist with a varied caseload including:
• Wills
• Probate and Estate Administration
• Lasting Powers of Attorney
• Trusts
• Inheritance Tax Planning
Responsibilities will include:
• Drafting legal documents and correspondence
• Preparing probate and estate administration paperwork
• Liaising with clients, beneficiaries and third parties
• Managing files and maintaining case management systems
• Assisting with the progression of matters from instruction through to completion
• Supporting fee earners with day-to-day case management
Requirements
• ideally experience within a Private Client department
• Knowledge of Wills, Probate, LPAs and Estate Administration
• Strong organisational and administrative skills
• Excellent communication and client care abilities
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines
• Experience using case management systems would be advantageous
