Private Client Solicitor / Junior Lawyer (Trainee, NQ–2 PQE) – Kent – £40,000–£60,000 DOE + Bonus A highly respected, long-established law firm based in Chatham / Medway, Kent isseeking a Junior Private Client Lawyer to join their expanding team. This is a strategic growth hire designed to bring in the next generation of talent - someone they can invest in, develop and support into a future senior position within the department. The OpportunityYou’ll be joining a boutique, well-established practice with an outstanding reputation across Kent and the wider South East. The Private Client department is entering a new phase of growth, and the firm is committed to bringing in junior lawyers who can grow with the team and ultimately take on greater responsibility over time. You’ll benefit from hands-on mentorship from an experienced Partner and Chairman with a strong track record of developing lawyers internally. If you’re working towards qualification, funding for SQE / CILEx & STEP can be offered for the right candidate. Role OverviewYou will work on a broad range of Wills, LPAs, Probate, Estate Administration, Trusts and general non-contentious Private Client matters, with exposure to high-net-worth and multi-generational estates. The firm holds a substantial wills bank and has a loyal client base built over many decades. You’ll be supported by an experienced team structure and typically with 1 secretary to 2 fee-earners, with flexibility for 1:1 support where needed. Who We’re Looking ForThis role is ideal for: • Trainee Solicitors approaching qualification • NQ–2 years PQE Private Client Solicitors • Paralegals / Junior Fee Earners actively working towards qualification • More experienced solicitors will also be considered due to wider departmental growth *You must have prior experience in Private Client work and be able to manage your own caseload (under supervision), with a solid understanding of Wills, LPAs, Probate and Estate Administration. You’ll be someone who wants to build a long-term career, enjoys client contact, and values a firm with strong ethics, stability and a genuinely supportive culture.
