Process Design Analyst - OPERATIONS - UmbrellaContract Role | Glasgow | Financial Services Our client, a leading financial services organisation in Glasgow to recruit an experienced Business Process Design Analyst on a contract basis. Working closely with operational teams, business stakeholders, and subject matter experts, you will lead process design initiatives, develop governance frameworks, and ensure administrative teams have the tools and documentation required to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes. The Role As a Business Process Analyst, you will be responsible for analysing, designing, documenting, and continuously improving processes across the business. You will help establish best practice, improve operational performance, and ensure processes remain compliant with regulatory and business requirements. Key responsibilities include: • Analyse, document, and design business processes to improve efficiency, quality, and compliance. • Identify process gaps, risks, bottlenecks, and control weaknesses, implementing practical and effective solutions. • Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into robust operational processes. • Create and maintain process maps, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and supporting documentation. • Develop, implement, and govern administrator checklists to support consistent operational delivery. • Ensure process documentation and checklists remain accurate, accessible, and aligned with current policies and regulations. • Establish process controls, metrics, and KPIs to measure effectiveness and operational performance. • Conduct process reviews and audits to assess adherence to agreed procedures and standards. • Lead process change initiatives, including impact assessments, stakeholder engagement, training, and implementation support. • Provide guidance and support to administration teams on process-related queries and best practice. • Drive a culture of continuous improvement through data analysis, operational insights, and stakeholder feedback. We're looking for a proactive and analytical professional with experience improving operational processes within data, financial services, or a regulated environment. You will ideally have: • Proven experience in business process design and analysis, process improvement. • Experience within financial services or another regulated industry. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Advanced Excel skills, including pivots, formulas, and data analysis. • Experience using Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau (preferred). • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. • The ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights. • Experience creating process maps, SOPs, controls and governance documentation. • Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality and accuracy.
