Procurement Manager - 6-month contract

Your new company A reputable public-sector organisation in the heart of Sheffield is looking to appoint an experienced Procurement Manager for an initial period of 6 months. The organisation is working on some truly exciting projects across the Sheffield region, and it's a great time to get on board and be a part of the journey. Your new role The Procurement Manager will lead on high-value, complex end-to-end tender processes on a new project which has a positive impact on the people and communities of South Yorkshire. The role will involve driving value for money and procurement best practice across the organisation, and will involve running competitive framework call-offs and full open market tender processes. You will provide strategic procurement advice and guidance to stakeholders across the organisation and you will provide leadership to the wider procurement team. You will also be managing high-value contracts and managing business-critical relationships with suppliers, so supplier relationship management skills are key for this role. You will work collaboratively with internal teams to support procurement and contract management activities, all whilst ensuring compliance with the Procurement Act 2023 (PA23). As the Procurement Manager, you will strive to develop process improvements which enhance the procurement service delivery.
