Procurement OfficerContract 6-12 Months
Hybrid Working - 2 Days On-Site
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to join a growing Housing Association and support the delivery of an effective, compliant and value-driven procurement service. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will assist with procurement activities across a range of categories, support contract management processes and work closely with stakeholders to ensure procurement delivers value for money and high levels of service. Procurement Officer General Responsibilities:
• Support end-to-end procurement exercises from sourcing through to contract award
• Assist in developing procurement strategies that align with organisational objectives
• Work with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and provide procurement guidance
• Support supplier negotiations and ensure best value outcomes are achieved
• Maintain procurement records, contract registers and supporting documentation
• Assist with supplier performance monitoring and contract management activities
• Ensure compliance with procurement regulations, governance requirements and internal policies
• Produce procurement reports, spend analysis and market research to support decision-making
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across procurement processes
• Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
Procurement Officer Ideal Candidate:
• Previous procurement experience within a public sector, housing association or regulated environment
• Understanding of procurement legislation and best practice
• Experience supporting tender exercises and contract management activities
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Good commercial awareness and analytical capability
• Experience using procurement systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Working towards or interested in pursuing a CIPS qualification would be advantageous
