Job description

Production Supervisor Reading Permanent Salary Negotiable DoE ? Your New Role As a Production Supervisor, you'll be responsible for leading and supporting a manufacturing team to ensure products are produced safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. You'll oversee the day-to-day running of the production area, allocating work, monitoring performance and ensuring production targets are met. Working closely with Quality, Engineering, Logistics and Operations teams, you'll identify opportunities to improve processes, resolve production issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives. You'll also play a key role in developing your team through coaching, training and performance management, while ensuring effective communication between shifts to maintain a smooth production operation. Ensuring Your Success To be successful in this role, you'll have previous supervisory or leadership experience within a manufacturing or production environment and be confident managing people in a fast-paced setting. You'll have a strong understanding of health and safety, quality standards and production processes, with the ability to read engineering drawings and work collaboratively across departments. Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills are essential, along with experience using Microsoft Office and manufacturing systems such as ERP or MRP. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies would be highly advantageous, as would the ability to motivate teams, manage performance and deliver operational targets.
