Job description

Your new firm Our client is a respected and growing regional law firm with an established reputation across a wide range of commercial property and real estate matters. Known for combining high-quality legal advice with a collaborative and people-focused culture, the firm advises a diverse client base including developers, investors, landlords, occupiers and corporate businesses. With continued investment in its Property practice, the firm offers an excellent opportunity to join a progressive team committed to technical excellence, innovation and professional development. Your new role An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Property solicitor to undertake a Professional Support Lawyer position within a busy and well-regarded Real Estate team. This strategic role will sit at the centre of the department, helping to drive technical standards, support legal knowledge initiatives and ensure best practice is embedded across the team. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining precedents, guidance notes and technical resources, while providing support on complex property matters and keeping lawyers informed of relevant legislative, regulatory and market developments. The role will also involve designing and delivering training programmes, assisting with the development of junior lawyers and supporting knowledge-sharing initiatives across the wider business. In addition, you will contribute to client-facing projects, thought leadership content and business development activities, as well as supporting process improvement and legal technology initiatives. This position offers the opportunity to remain closely connected to sophisticated property work while focusing on knowledge, training and strategic development rather than fee generation. What you'll need to succeed You will be a qualified solicitor with substantial experience in Commercial Property, Real Estate or a related property discipline. The firm is open to considering both established Professional Support Lawyers and experienced fee earners looking to move into a PSL career path. The successful candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, excellent drafting and research capabilities, and the ability to communicate legal developments clearly and effectively. You should be commercially minded, proactive and enjoy supporting colleagues through training, mentoring and knowledge-sharing. Experience across a broad range of property matters, including acquisitions, disposals, landlord and tenant work and development projects, would be advantageous. What you'll get in return You will join a supportive and forward-thinking organisation that places genuine emphasis on flexibility, collaboration and career development. In addition to a competitive remuneration package and attractive benefits, the firm offers hybrid working, a positive working environment and the opportunity to play a key strategic role within a successful Property team. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer seeking a different career path while remaining involved in high-quality legal work and helping to shape the future development of the department. What you need to do now If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, please get in touch for a confidential discussion. If this particular position is not the right fit but you are considering a move within Property, Real Estate or Professional Support Law, I would be happy to discuss other opportunities that may be of interest. We would expect candidates to have developed the appropriate level of experience for the role; however, applications from individuals with a broader range of PQE and backgrounds are welcomed.
