The West Midlands Growth Company (WMGC) is the region’s economic development delivery organisation.
From April 2026, we will lead the delivery of regionally commissioned economic development activity aligned to the West Midlands Growth Plan, working in partnership with the West Midlands Combined Authority and local authorities.

The Role
As our new Programme Coordinator, you'll provide operational, coordination, and administrative support across a range of commissioned programmes and projects. Working closely with programme leads, partners, providers, and stakeholders, you'll help ensure programmes are effectively planned, monitored, governed, and delivered against agreed objectives.

You'll Be Involved In:
• Supporting the delivery of strategic regional programmes and commissioned services.
• Coordinating programme activity, documentation, reporting, and governance processes.
• Building effective relationships with internal teams, external providers, and key stakeholders.
• Supporting programme monitoring, performance reporting, and outcome tracking.
• Helping ensure projects are delivered efficiently, on time, and in line with organisational objectives.
What You'll Be Doing
• Coordinating programme plans, action trackers, risk logs, and project documentation.
• Monitoring progress against milestones and supporting programme reporting.
• Organising meetings, workshops, programme boards, and stakeholder communications.
• Producing reports, dashboards, presentations, and meeting documentation.
• Supporting governance activities, compliance requirements, and programme administration.
• Working with programme providers and partners to track performance and outcomes.
• Maintaining accurate records and supporting effective programme oversight.
What You'll Bring
Essential:
• Experience in a programme support, project coordination, administration, or business support role.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building abilities.
• Experience producing reports, tracking actions, and maintaining accurate records.
• High attention to detail and a proactive approach to work.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent relevant experience.
Desirable:
• Degree or relevant qualification in project, programme, or business administration.
• Knowledge of programme or project management methodologies such as PRINCE2, Agile, or MSP.
• Experience supporting commissioned programmes, contracts, or service delivery.
• Experience within the public sector or local government environment.
• Experience using project management or reporting tools.
