Psychology Graduate - SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Royston / Meldreth, Hertfordshire Salary: £22,996 - £25,068 per annum (actual salary, dependent on experience and qualifications) Hours: Full Time | Term Time Only | Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm (40 hours per week) Contract: Temporary to Permanent Looking for experience that will genuinely strengthen your career in Psychology? Rather than observing from the sidelines, you'll be actively involved in supporting students every day while learning from experienced teachers, therapists and healthcare professionals. Your Role As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with teachers and therapists to deliver tailored support that enables every student to engage, progress and succeed. You'll be responsible for: Supporting learning in the classroom and across the wider school environment Encouraging communication, emotional regulation and social development Assisting with personalised learning programmes Supporting outdoor learning and community-based activities Promoting independence and everyday life skills Building positive relationships with students and their families Providing personal care and physical support where required Creating a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment Who We're Looking For This opportunity is ideal for Psychology graduates who are: Passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs Considering careers in psychology, education, therapy or mental health Calm, patient and resilient Positive, proactive and eager to learn Confident working both independently and within a multidisciplinary team Strong communicators who can adapt to individual needs Committed to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing Essential: Level 2 English and Maths (or equivalent).
