Qualified Nursery Assistant Location: Brighton & Hove Start Date: September 2026 Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Academics is recruiting a qualified Nursery Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive two-form entry primary school in Brighton & Hove from September 2026. This fantastic opportunity is based within the school's on-site nursery provision, supporting children aged 2-3 years old during a crucial stage of their early development. The successful candidate will work alongside an experienced Early Years team to provide a nurturing, stimulating, and engaging environment where children can learn, play, and thrive. Key Responsibilities: • Support the learning and development of children aged 2-3 years. • Assist in delivering engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. • Promote children's social, emotional, physical, and communication development. • Help maintain a safe, caring, and inclusive learning environment. • Support children's personal care needs where required. • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. • Contribute to observations, assessments, and learning records. The Ideal Candidate Will Have: • A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification. • Experience working with nursery-aged children, ideally within a school or nursery setting. • A strong understanding of the EYFS framework. • A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach. • Excellent communication and teamwork skills. • A genuine passion for supporting young children's development and learning.
