Qualified Social Worker, Front Door Team, Manchester City Council Pay rate to £35 per hour Contract role Vitalis are recruiting for an experienced Social Worker to work in a Front Door Team in Manchester City Council. We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and skilled Social Worker to join our Advice and Guidance Service. This is a pivotal role at the front door of Children's Services, ensuring that children, young people, and families receive the right help, at the right time, from the right service. As part of a supportive and collaborative team, you will undertake timely and robust screening of contacts, using your strong analytical, assessment, and safeguarding expertise to identify levels of need, assess risk, and make informed decisions about the most appropriate interventions. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, confidently managing competing priorities while maintaining high standards of professional practice and decision making. Using David Thorpe’s Conversational Model, you will engage directly with children, families, and professionals to gather information, explore presenting needs, and build a clear understanding of risk and protective factors. Your ability to communicate effectively, navigate complex situations, and make sound safeguarding decisions will be central to achieving positive outcomes for children and families. You will work closely with our co-located Family Help Social Work Teams and Early Help Services, playing a key role in effective multi-agency collaboration and ensuring a seamless and responsive journey for families accessing support.
