Quality Inspector - Highways

Your new company A leading civil engineering contractor delivering major infrastructure and highways projects across the UK. With a strong pipeline of work and a commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement, they are seeking experienced Quality Inspectors to support the successful delivery of a large-scale project. Your new role As a Quality Inspector, you will support the delivery team by driving quality standards across a major civil engineering project. • Carry out inspections of earthworks, drainage and structures activities • Monitor works to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality requirements • Identify, record and help resolve non-conformances • Support the implementation of quality assurance procedures and documentation • Promote a positive quality culture across site teams • Review and monitor materials testing activities • Work closely with engineers, supervisors and operational teams • Assist in maintaining quality records and inspection reports • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the project • Travel across multiple jobs as part of a roving quality team What you'll need to succeed • Previous experience as a Quality Inspector, Quality Engineer, Clerk of Works or similar role within civil engineering, highways or infrastructure projects • Strong background in earthworks, with knowledge of drainage and structures works • Experience carrying out site inspections and quality assurance activities • Understanding of quality management systems and quality documentation • Knowledge of materials testing would be advantageous • Ability to work effectively with operational and delivery teams • CSCS Card • SSSTS or SMSTS desirable What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
