Due to increasing client demand and long-term growth plans, the firm is looking for an experienced commercial real estate lawyer to lead and develop its commercial property offering in Manchester. This is a genuine platform role with the opportunity to shape and grow a team, develop key client relationships and play a major part in the wider growth of the business, with full backing from a well-established professional services group and existing referral network. The Role You will play a key role in the development and leadership of the commercial property team, advising on a broad range of real estate matters while helping drive the growth of the practice. Work will include: • Acquisitions and disposals • Landlord and tenant matters • Commercial leases and licences • Portfolio management • Property finance transactions • Real estate support on corporate transactions including M&A and demergers You will also: • Help shape the strategy and direction of the commercial property offering • Develop and grow client relationships across existing and new business • Work closely with colleagues across the wider business and professional network • Mentor and support junior lawyers within the team • Take an active role in business development, networking and profile-raising activities Experience dealing with distressed real estate matters would be advantageous but is not essential. Requirements • Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales • Around 8+ years’ PQE in commercial property • Strong technical experience across a broad range of commercial real estate matters • Experience supporting corporate transactions from a real estate perspective • Background in property finance work would be beneficial • Comfortable supervising junior lawyers and helping develop a team • Strong commercial awareness and client relationship skills • Interest in business development and growing a practice Experience within the healthcare or education sectors would be advantageous but is not essential. The Firm The business offers a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment with strong existing referral networks and genuine scope for progression. You will be joining a business that is continuing to invest heavily in growth, people and long-term development. #INDCATN
