Adult Recovery Worker Location: North East England (Multiple locations) Salary: £14.85 Hours: Flexible Hours Available Contract: Agency Opportunities Empower People to Rebuild Their Lives We Care Bespoke is looking for compassionate, motivated, and resilient Adult Recovery Workers to support adults across the North East who are experiencing mental health challenges, substance misuse, homelessness, or other complex needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to help people overcome barriers, build confidence, and achieve greater independence while making a genuine difference in their lives. The Role As an Adult Recovery Worker, you will provide person-centred support in community settings, helping individuals work towards their recovery goals and improve their overall wellbeing. You'll support service users to develop life skills, access local services, maintain their health, and build positive routines that encourage long-term recovery and independence. Key Responsibilities • Deliver high-quality, person-centred support tailored to individual recovery plans. • Build positive, trusting relationships with service users. • Support individuals to access healthcare, housing, education, employment, and community resources. • Promote independence, wellbeing, and social inclusion. • Encourage positive coping strategies and healthy lifestyles. • Support individuals experiencing mental health difficulties, substance misuse, or complex social needs. • Complete case notes. • Safeguard vulnerable adults and report concerns appropriately. What We're Looking For • Passionate about supporting vulnerable adults. • Empathetic, patient, and non-judgemental. • Confident working independently and as part of a team. • Excellent communicators • Flexible and committed to delivering outstanding care and support. Essential Requirements • Experience supporting adults with mental health needs, substance misuse, homelessness, learning disabilities, or other complex needs. • Understanding of recovery-focused and person-centred approaches. • Ability to manage challenging situations calmly and professionally. • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one). • Right to work in the UK. Desirable • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent). • Experience within supported housing, recovery services, outreach, or community support. • Knowledge of safeguarding, risk management, and trauma-informed practice.
