Job description

We are seeking an ambitious and dedicated Registered Manager to lead the registration, opening, and ongoing operation of a new Children's Residential Home. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Manager or an experienced Deputy Manager ready to take the next step in their career. You will play a key role in establishing a high-quality, child-centred service and building a positive culture from the ground up. Key Responsibilities • Lead the registration and opening of the Children's Home. • Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations and relevant legislation. • Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing staff team. • Promote positive outcomes for children and young people. • Maintain high standards of safeguarding, care planning, and quality assurance. • Manage the day-to-day operation of the home. • Build effective relationships with local authorities, professionals, and stakeholders. • Drive continuous improvement and achieve positive Ofsted outcomes. Essential Requirements • NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent). • Experience within a Children's Residential Care setting. • Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding requirements. • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills. • Passion for improving outcomes for children and young people. Desirable Requirements • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards). • Previous experience supporting Ofsted inspections and regulatory compliance. • Experience of opening or developing residential childcare services.
