Registered Manager (Fostering) – Independent Fostering Agency (IFA)Near Northwood | £55,000–£65,000 + Performance Bonus + Excellent Benefits
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Manager, Fostering Manager, or Social Work Manager to lead a growing Independent Fostering Agency. You'll provide strategic and operational leadership, ensuring high-quality fostering services, regulatory compliance, and excellent outcomes for children, young people, and foster carers.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage the fostering service in line with Fostering Services Regulations 2011, National Minimum Standards, Children Act 1989, safeguarding legislation, and Ofsted requirements.
• Manage, supervise, and develop Social Workers and the fostering team.
• Oversee the recruitment, assessment, approval, and ongoing support of foster carers.
• Ensure high standards of safeguarding, quality assurance, and continuous service improvement.
• Build effective relationships with Local Authorities, commissioners, and partner agencies.
• Prepare for Ofsted inspections and monitor service performance, compliance, and outcomes.
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and child-centred culture.
Requirements
• Social Work England registration and a recognised Social Work qualification.
• Significant experience within Fostering, an Independent Fostering Agency (IFA) or Local Authority Children's Services.
• Previous experience as a Registered Manager, Fostering Manager, Team Manager, Practice Manager, or similar senior leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of fostering legislation, safeguarding, and the Ofsted Inspection Framework.
• Proven leadership, people management, coaching, and communication skills.
• Experience supporting and developing foster carers and leading service improvement.
