Job Title: Registered Manager – Supported Accommodation (16–18) Location: Coventry, Nuneaton, West Midlands Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 Job Type: Permanent, Full Time Registered Manager – Supported Accommodation, 16-18 Year Olds, West Midlands, Brand New Service A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Manager to launch and lead a brand-new Supported Accommodation service for young people aged 16-18 in Coventry, Nuneaton. This is a founding leadership role, you will shape the culture, systems, and success of the service from the ground up, backed by a highly visible and hands-on Responsible Individual throughout registration, mobilisation, and beyond. If you're a Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, or Service Manager with a background in supported accommodation, semi-independent living, residential childcare, or leaving care services, and you're ready to build something from day one, this is your opportunity to make your mark. About the Role • Manage the day-to-day operations of a new Supported Accommodation service, ensuring full compliance with the Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023 and the Supported Accommodation Quality Standards • Lead quality assurance, internal audits, action planning, and Ofsted inspection readiness • Oversee safeguarding, incidents, complaints, KPIs, and outcomes for young people • Develop person-centred support plans covering independent living skills, education, employment, training (EET), emotional wellbeing, and transitions into adulthood • Recruit, induct, supervise, and develop a high-performing staff team in line with safer recruitment practice • Build strong relationships with local authorities, social workers, personal advisers, education and healthcare partners • Represent the service at commissioning meetings, placement reviews, and Ofsted inspections What We're Looking For • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent Ofsted-accepted qualification for Supported Accommodation Manager registration) • Minimum 1 year's management experience in supported accommodation, residential childcare, leaving care, or housing support • Minimum 2 years' experience working with vulnerable young people aged 16–18 or within children's social care • Strong knowledge of Supported Accommodation Regulations 2023, Quality Standards, and safeguarding legislation • Understanding of trauma-informed practice, contextual safeguarding, and adolescent development • Strong leadership, communication, and partnership-working skills • Full UK driving licence desirable Why Apply This is a unique chance to be the founding Registered Manager of a brand-new service - shaping its values, team, and outcomes from inception, with strong organisational backing and a clear path to an Outstanding Ofsted rating.
