Staff Nurse (RMN/RNMH/RNLD) - Band 5We are seeking a dedicated and professional Staff Nurse to join our multi-disciplinary team. In this role, you will act as a Primary or Named Nurse, delivering high-quality, compassionate, and person-centered care. You will play a vital role in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care plans, ensuring the highest standards of evidence-based nursing are maintained to support the health and wellbeing of our service users.
Responsibilities:
• Provide skilled nursing care with an emphasis on empathy, kindness, respect, and dignity.
• Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team, families, and carers to promote shared decision-making.
• Safely administer medication in strict adherence to Trust policies and practice guidelines.
• Facilitate and chair multi-disciplinary reviews and ward meetings to ensure effective communication.
• Maintain robust, high-standard clinical records and report on patient progress accurately.
• Contribute to the education and professional development of colleagues and students within the clinical environment.
• Ensure the ward environment remains safe, clean, and compliant with all health and safety standards.
Qualifications:
• Possession of a professional nursing qualification (RMN/RNMH/RNLD).
• Demonstrable commitment to continued professional development.
• Previous experience working within in-patient settings is essential.
• Comprehensive understanding of mental health legislation and its practical application.
• Proven ability to manage clinical risks and act in accordance with legislative policies.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage conflict and provide emotional support in challenging environments.
Employment Details:
• Location: Carlisle, Cumbria
• Contract Type: Temporary
• Working Hours: Long Days (08:00 - 20:00) 4 on 4 off rolling rota.
• Pay rate: £21.00 - £35.00 per hour depending on shift pattern.
