Renal Sister / Charge Nurse

• The successful candidate will be expected to act as a leader and role model to their colleagues. • They will need to be able to work as nurse in charge whilst coordinating with bed managers and site team. • The job role also entails ensuring safer staffing levels and providing support to staff on day to day basis. • They will need to monitor clinical standards and implement change to improve patient safety. As part of this they will be expected participate in audits, patient safety investigations and complete incident reports. • They will have knowledge of the Accreditation for Care Excellence framework and ensure these standards are implemented on the ward. • There will also be a requirement to deputise for the Ward Manager where necessary and support the ward manager with managing staff attendance and performance.
