Job description

Support critical reporting, data migration and business improvement activity in a fast-paced transformation environment. Immediate-start contract with potential extension opportunities. Client Details Our client is a leading UK-based software and services organisation, supporting thousands of businesses across multiple industries with mission-critical technology, operational solutions, and digital transformation initiatives. They are looking for an experienced Data & Reporting Analyst to support a critical programme of work focused on reporting delivery, data quality improvement, and backlog reduction. This role will play a key part in providing accurate management information, supporting stakeholder decision making, and leading a significant data administration and migration work stream across multiple business systems. Description As the Data & Reporting Analyst, you will be responsible for producing business critical reporting, supporting analytical requests, and driving improvements across data management processes. Key responsibilities include: • Produce and deliver accurate monthly reporting packs and ad hoc analysis to support business and executive decision-making. • Consolidate, analyse, and interpret data from multiple sources to provide actionable business insights. • Own and support key data administration and migration activities, including data cleansing, validation, and reconciliation. • Improve data quality, integrity, and consistency across business systems and reporting outputs. • Help reduce and clear existing data and reporting backlogs while ensuring timely delivery of stakeholder requests. • Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and AI-enabled solutions to increase efficiency and accuracy. • Collaborate with Finance Operations and wider business stakeholders to understand reporting and data requirements. • Provide clear communication, updates, and recommendations throughout project delivery and discovery activities. Profile A successful Reporting/Data Analyst should have: • Experience in a Data Analyst, Reporting Analyst, or similar analytical role. • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to manipulate, combine, and analyse complex datasets. • Strong understanding of reporting, analysis, and data management processes within commercial or project-based environments. • Experience working with large data volumes, including validation, cleansing, and reconciliation activities. • Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on data accuracy. • Experience working across multiple business systems and databases. • Ability to work autonomously, prioritise effectively, and deliver results within tight timescales. • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Highly Desirable • SQL expertise, including data extraction, manipulation, and analysis. • Experience using reporting and visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar. • Exposure to NetSuite, Salesforce, and/or ServiceNow. • Experience working with SharePoint and collaboration platforms. • Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude or similar technologies. • Automation, scripting, or full-stack development experience.
