Job description

A leading UK advisory firm is looking to appoint a Restructuring Manager to join its well-established Restructuring, Pensions and Debt Advisory team, based in London. The team works on a wide range of complex restructuring and insolvency assignments, including high-profile UK and international matters. Operating within a national platform, the role offers exposure across multiple sectors and the opportunity to work on some of the most challenging and dynamic assignments in the market. This is a fast-paced, transaction-driven environment that offers significant responsibility, development, and long-term progression, including support towards CPI and JIEB. The OpportunityAs a Restructuring Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of advisory and insolvency assignments with minimal partner involvement, while also playing an active role in business development and team leadership. Key responsibilities include: • Managing a portfolio of restructuring and insolvency casework • Supporting Partners and Directors with pitches, origination, and business development initiatives • Leading and delivering complex projects, including independent business reviews, short-term cashflow reviews, contingency planning, accelerated sales processes, and insolvency appointments (including pre-pack administrations) • Acting as lead contact for multiple client relationships and identifying opportunities to win new work • Preparing reports and recommendations for lenders and other key stakeholders • Managing risk, compliance, budgets, and billing to ensure high-quality and profitable delivery • Coaching, mentoring, and developing junior team members • Leading teams through complex and sensitive situations in a dynamic transaction environment What's on Offer • Exposure to high-profile restructuring and insolvency assignments in the UK and overseas • Opportunity to work within a national, market-leading advisory team • Clear progression pathway with support towards CPI / JIEB • Flexible and agile working options • A strong focus on inclusion, wellbeing, and work-life balance • Opportunities for secondments, community involvement, and broader firm initiatives • A values-driven culture focused on integrity, quality, and doing the right thing What They're Looking For • ACA or ACCA qualified accountant with strong post-qualification experience • Proven experience managing restructuring and insolvency projects, including business reviews, cashflow analysis, contingency planning, and formal insolvency appointments • Experience leading small teams and taking responsibility for delivery, reporting, and client outcomes • Strong stakeholder management skills, including direct interaction with senior leadership • A commercial mindset with a genuine interest in business development and market engagement • Ability to balance technical excellence with practical, client-focused solutions • CPI and/or JIEB desirable but not essential Why Apply?This is a standout opportunity to join a highly regarded advisory team where you'll be trusted with responsibility, encouraged to think independently, and supported in building a long-term career.
