Key Responsibilities Operational Coordination
• Coordinate the day-to-day operational activities of the Resuscitation Service.
• Manage multiple concurrent workstreams, ensuring projects are delivered to agreed timescales.
• Maintain oversight of team priorities, action plans and programme milestones.
• Coordinate meetings, workshops, events and Trust-wide initiatives.
• Develop and maintain effective administrative systems to support service delivery.
Governance and Assurance Provide comprehensive governance support including:
• Resuscitation Committee
• Medical Gases Group
• Deteriorating Patient Governance meetings
• Project Steering Groups
• Faculty meetings
Responsibilities include:
• agenda preparation
• minute taking
• action tracking
• production of reports
• maintaining governance documentation
• monitoring completion of actions
Support the preparation of Board reports, performance reports and assurance documentation.
Training Coordination Lead the coordination of all resuscitation education programmes including:
• Immediate Life Support (ILS)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Essential Life Support (ELS)
• External accredited courses
• Faculty development
Responsibilities include:
• course scheduling
• faculty coordination
• delegate administration
• venue management
• communication with instructors
• monitoring attendance
• maintaining training databases
• producing compliance reports
Support initiatives that improve attendance, accessibility and compliance with mandatory training.
Project Management Coordinate Trust-wide improvement programmes including:
• resuscitation quality improvement projects
• deteriorating patient initiatives
• digital transformation programmes
• new clinical systems
• policy implementation
• pilot programmes
Maintain project documentation, risk logs, action trackers and progress reports.
Support implementation of new initiatives from planning through to evaluation.
Data Management and Reporting Develop and maintain robust systems for:
• audit data
• incident tracking
• action logs
• equipment records
• training compliance
• quality metrics
Analyse information to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
Produce regular performance dashboards and reports to support decision-making.
Equipment Assurance Coordinate the Trust-wide assurance of resuscitation equipment by:
• maintaining equipment registers
• monitoring servicing schedules
• supporting equipment audits
• coordinating replacement programmes
• overseeing equipment checking systems
• supporting implementation of digital assurance solutions
Work collaboratively with clinical teams to improve equipment compliance.
Communication and Stakeholder Management Develop effective working relationships across the Trust and with external organisations.
Act as a central point of contact for:
• clinical staff
• senior managers
• educators
• external training providers
• governing bodies
• suppliers
• partner organisations
Communicate complex information professionally and confidentially.
Prepare newsletters, presentations, promotional materials and service communications.
Financial Responsibilities Support financial management through:
• processing invoices
• monitoring expenditure
• maintaining purchase records
• coordinating course income where applicable
• supporting budget monitoring
Service Improvement Actively contribute to continuous improvement by:
• identifying opportunities to improve processes
