Salary range: £26,093 - £27,319 FTE: 1.0 (35 hours per week) Term: Open Closing Date: 30 July 2026 The University of Strathclyde seeks to appoint a Retail Team Leader as part of the Catering Management team leading the Retail section of the Catering department. Friendly, positive and motivational in nature, you will be a ‘people person’ who finds it easy to get on with everyone. You will be passionate about delivering retail catering services that exceed customer expectations. You will be responsible for the day to day leading of food and beverage staff within an assigned area of responsibility and to help maintain agreed service standard levels. Your responsibilities will see you oversee the outlets ensuring that customers are looked after, deliveries are worked quickly and outlet routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean and tidy environment. Your team and customers will depend upon you to always do your job to the best of your ability. You will be a people-orientated person, who can train and develop the team to achieve their potential, despite not being co-located. The ideal candidate will ideally have experience leading teams in a high street retail or higher education catering environment. The normal hours for this full-time position are 35 per week and a flexible approach to a varied work pattern of 5 days over 7, including evenings and weekends, is essential.
