Risk and Compliance Officer

A leading international law firm is seeking a Risk & Compliance Officer to join its London-based team. The successful Risk & Compliance Officer will play a key role in supporting the firm’s risk and compliance function, with a focus on client onboarding, regulatory compliance and conflict management. This position offers exposure to complex, high-quality work and the chance to collaborate with colleagues across multiple international offices. The role As a Risk & Compliance Officer, your responsibilities will include: • assisting with the onboarding of new clients and matters, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and firm policies • conducting client due diligence, including KYC checks, AML reviews and sanctions screening • supporting conflict checks and the setup of information barriers • maintaining accurate and up-to-date matter information • monitoring client risk profiles and escalating any concerns appropriately • assisting with compliance reporting and audit preparation • supporting the wider business with regulatory queries and best practice guidance About you To be considered for this Risk & Compliance Officer role, you will ideally have: • at least two years’ experience in a compliance role within a regulated environment, ideally a law firm • strong AML and regulatory compliance knowledge • excellent attention to detail and organisational skills • the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders across the business • strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving What’s on offer • opportunity to join a globally recognised law firm • exposure to high-quality, complex compliance work • supportive team environment with clear development opportunities • hybrid working model with a London base If you are a motivated Risk & Compliance Officer looking for your next step in a dynamic and international environment, this could be the ideal move.
