Job description

To provide a high-quality, patient-centred diagnostic imaging service across a range of imaging modalities as part of a rotational programme. The post holder will be responsible for performing a wide variety of radiographic examinations, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective and efficient imaging services in accordance with departmental, professional and national standards. The Senior Radiographer will utilise advanced clinical knowledge and professional judgement to produce high-quality diagnostic images, supervise and support junior staff and students, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the imaging service. The post holder will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure excellent patient care and an optimal patient experience. As a senior member of the team, the post holder will participate in the day-to-day organisation of clinical areas, support service development initiatives, maintain high standards of radiation protection and governance, and contribute to staff training and education. The post holder will be required to participate in the department's out-of-hours service, including evenings, weekends, bank holidays and on-call duties as required, ensuring the provision of a responsive and effective imaging service to support emergency, inpatient and urgent care pathways.
