Job Description Salaried GPJob Title: Salaried General Practitioner (GP)Location: Weatheroak Medical Practice Purpose of the RoleTo provide high-quality, patient-centred primary care services to the practice population, ensuring safe, effective and evidence-based clinical care while working collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team. Key Responsibilities • Undertake face-to-face, telephone and online consultations for patients presenting with a wide range of health needs. • Assess, diagnose, treat and manage acute and chronic medical conditions. • Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with national and local guidelines. • Promote health education, disease prevention and self-management where appropriate. • Review and act upon pathology results, clinical correspondence and other patient-related documentation. • Maintain accurate, comprehensive and contemporaneous patient records using the practice clinical system. • Work collaboratively with practice nurses, pharmacists, healthcare assistants and other members of the multidisciplinary team. • Participate in clinical meetings, significant event reviews, audits and quality improvement activities. • Safeguard vulnerable adults and children in accordance with practice policies and statutory requirements. • Contribute to the achievement of Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF), enhanced services and other contractual requirements. • Support continuity of care and contribute to the effective running and development of practice services. • Maintain professional registration, appraisal and continuing professional development requirements in line with GMC and NHS standards.
