Job description

Family-run business | Company car + fuel provided | Career growth & training | Surrey-based, helping establish our new Surrey office We're a family-run HVAC business, predominantly based in Kent, looking for a Sales & Project Manager to help drive and deliver projects across residential and commercial climate control installations. This is a genuinely varied role, split between winning new business and managing project delivery — whether that's through our own engineering team or trusted subcontractors. This role also comes with an exciting element of ownership: you'll be based in Surrey and play a key part in establishing and growing our new Surrey office, helping to build our presence and customer base in the area as we expand beyond Kent. We welcome applicants at different experience levels: whether you're an experienced HVAC/construction professional ready for a step up, or someone earlier in their career with strong sales or project coordination skills and the drive to learn, we'll invest in your development either way. Experience in a field-based role is especially valued — you'll understand what "good" looks like on-site and can speak credibly with both customers and engineers. What you'll be doing Sales: • Building relationships with new and existing customers to generate and win HVAC project opportunities • Preparing quotes, proposals, and tender responses for residential and commercial jobs • Understanding customer requirements and translating them into practical, costed solutions • Helping build our customer base and reputation in Surrey as we grow the new office • Working closely with the wider team on larger commercial opportunities across Kent and Surrey Project Management: • Planning and coordinating HVAC installation projects from award through to completion • Allocating work to in-house engineers or sourcing and managing subcontractors as needed • Ordering materials and equipment, and managing project timelines and budgets • Acting as the main point of contact for customers throughout project delivery • Ensuring all work meets health & safety regulations and industry standards • Resolving on-site issues and keeping projects on track and on budget What we're looking for • Experience in HVAC, construction, or a related trade/technical sector (essential) • Experience in a field-based role is highly desirable • A confident, personable approach to sales and client relationship building • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once • Comfortable managing both direct staff and subcontractors • Good commercial awareness — quoting, budgeting, and understanding project margins • A proactive, self-starting mindset — comfortable with the challenge of helping grow a new location • Prior sales or project management experience is a plus, but we're open to training the right person with strong trade/technical knowledge and the right attitude Required licences/certifications • Full UK driving licence What we offer • Company car and fuel covered • 20 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays • 3% employer pension contribution • Fully funded certifications and manufacturer-led training courses • Real opportunities for career progression as the Surrey office develops • The chance to genuinely shape and build a new office/region, not just join an existing setup • A friendly, family-business culture Location: Surrey (occasional travel to Kent for team collaboration)
