Job description

School Administrator Location: Gloucester, Gloucestershire Hours: Part-time Contract: Temporary / Ongoing Work location: In person Reed Education are working in partnership with a well-regarded school in Gloucester to recruit an organised and professional School Administrator. This is a key role within the school office, supporting staff, pupils, and parents and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the school. The Role: The School Administrator will provide comprehensive administrative and reception support. Key responsibilities include: • Acting as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, and external agencies • Answering phone calls and responding to emails professionally • Supporting senior leaders and teaching staff with administrative tasks • Maintaining accurate pupil records and data systems • Supporting attendance, admissions, and safeguarding administration • Preparing letters, reports, and school communications • Managing diaries, meetings, and appointments • Ordering supplies and maintaining office systems • Providing general administrative support as required The Ideal Candidate: Essential: • Previous administrative experience • Strong organisational and time-management skills • Good IT skills (e.g. Microsoft Office) • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information • Reliable, adaptable, and able to work independently Desirable: • Experience working in a school or education setting • Knowledge of school management systems (SIMS, Arbor, Bromcom, etc.) • Understanding of safeguarding procedures Additional Information: • This role may be offered on a term-time-only basis • An enhanced DBS check is required prior to starting To apply, please submit your CV today or contact Reed Education for further information.
