Reed Education are currently recruiting for a Science Teacher to join a specialist school in Kendal from September 2026 on a full-time, long-term basis, with the potential for the role to become permanent.

About the School
The school caters for male pupils aged 7-19 who may present with one or more of the following:
• Autism and associated conditions, including ADHD and PDA
• Mild to moderate learning difficulties
• Complex needs and associated challenging behaviours
• Multiple exclusions and previous placement breakdowns
• School refusal and periods of time out of education
• Previous admissions to CAMHS inpatient services
• Specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia and dyspraxia

Requirements
To be considered, you must have:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• A Science specialism
• Full-time availability from 1st September 2026 onwards
• Experience teaching or supporting children with SEND
• A clear Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one before starting
• Willingness to complete Reed's compliance process promptly (if not already registered)
• A reliable, passionate and proactive approach to teaching
