Grounds Maintenance Operative (Seasonal) FTC Location: Stockbridge Village, Merseyside Salary: £27,976 per annum Hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday Contract: Seasonal Contract until 16 October 2026 Join a team that takes pride in creating safe, attractive outdoor spaces We are looking for an experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team based in Stockbridge Village. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous grounds maintenance experience who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in delivering high-quality work, and wants to be part of a supportive team environment What you'll be doing As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you'll help deliver high-quality grounds maintenance services across a variety of locations, ensuring outdoor environments are safe, clean, and well-presented. Your responsibilities will include: • Grass cutting, strimming, hedge trimming and general grounds maintenance • Maintaining outdoor areas to a high standard in line with agreed schedules • Operating and caring for machinery, tools, vehicles and PPE safely • Conducting daily and weekly equipment checks and reporting defects • Working from written and verbal instructions to complete tasks efficiently • Supporting colleagues and building positive relationships with customers and clients • Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety procedures • Keeping records up to date where required • Assisting with seasonal grounds maintenance activities and continuous improvement initiatives What we're looking for Essential • Previous grounds maintenance experience (minimum 2–3 years preferred) • Full UK driving licence • Experience using grounds maintenance equipment and machinery • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions • Good communication and teamwork skills • Strong work ethic with a reliable and punctual approach • Basic IT skills, including using a smartphone and mobile applications Desirable • First Aid at Work qualification • GCSEs or equivalent Apply Today!
